Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Until we adequately fund our public schools, we must limit our other education spending. Vouchers take money away from public schools. It also is not serving the low-income families that it was originally intended to serve. In addition, there is currently no accountability for the voucher system."

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?
"I support a woman's unrestricted right to choose an abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy. After that, she should be able to obtain one with advice and guidance from her physician in the event of rape, incest, danger to her health, death of the fetus or severe medical issues that will cause the fetus to die shortly after birth."

"I support a woman's unrestricted right to choose an abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy. Should NH add an income tax on earned income?
"I would only support an income tax if other measures have proven unsuccessful. We must find a way to increase our revenues, but I would start with increasing the corporate and other taxes that have been recently cut. Our local property taxes are not enough to fund our schools and other important services to Granite Staters."

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?
"A sales tax is a regressive tax that unfairly impacts middle and low income families. I would focus on increasing corporate taxes and those affecting high-income families before considering a sales tax."

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?
"This tax was the biggest revenue source for our schools and services and was cut severely by previous Republican administrations - without a request from business. We need to return it to its previous levels to provide property tax relief."

Should New Hampshire add a tax on capital gains?
"We need to find revenues to help relieve property taxes, but I am not yet sure this is a solution."

Do you support giving voters who register without ID on Election Day a ballot that only counts if they return identifying documents to the state before a deadline?
"Our current system has worked well for over 40 years without any evidence of systemic fraud. Our governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General have stated that NH elections are safe and secure. There is no evidence supporting the need to increase the steps to register to vote."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"I have worked in the affordable housing arena for over 30 years. We need to build more housing in all areas of NH, employing many different strategies. Multi-family homes, manufactured homes, high-density homes in urban areas, and other solutions all need to be implemented to solve the need for housing for our teachers, plumbers, electricians, service workers, nurses, firepersons, police officers, and others."

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?
"Our current system is unfair to those communities not located on a lake, ski resort, or ocean. Education is a state-wide priority, not just a local one. We must improve our school funding to attract more jobs to NH and improve the quality of life in NH. Public education is the bedrock of democracy."

Should New Hampshire raise the minimum wage?
"We need to provide a livable wage to all Granite Staters. The current amount is insufficient and the market has not kept up with the rising costs of housing, health insurance, and other essentials."

Should NH require local law enforcement to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement?
"Most studies that I have seen indicate that local law enforcement cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. Requiring local law enforcement to arrest all illegal immigrants has proven counter-productive in most communities. We should trust our local law enforcement to use their judgment."

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?
"I am in favor of common sense gun violence prevention laws supported by most Granite Staters - required background checks, no bump stocks, 3-day waiting period for the approval of a purchase of a gun, no gun zones in schools, and safe storage of guns. I do not favor taking guns away from those who want them - only that they we take steps to insure responsible gun ownership."
