$6.5 million for drinking water infrastructure in southern NH
Summary:
Sends $25 million to the Department of Environmental Services for drinking water infrastructure in Derry to increase water supply to multiple towns impacted by PFAS contamination and growing water demands. The Senate amended the bill to more generally fund regional drinking water infrastructure for areas impacted by PFAS contamination in southern New Hampshire.
The House decreased the amount of funds to $6.5 million.
The Senate added the $25 million back to another bill, HB 1259, but a conference committee of representatives and senators rejected that addition.
