She stopped practicing law to work as a caretaker/caregiver on a private horse farm until her retirement in 2017, when she moved to Whitefield, NH. She has been active in lobbying at the statehouse on issues relating to domestic violence and civil rights for the LGBTQIA+ community. She has been active in politics since she moved to NH in 1989. In 2024, she was elected as Trustee of the Trust Fund for the Town of Whitefield."
