Should New Hampshire add a tax on capital gains?

"If you purchase capital assets, such as real estate, the 'gains' they experience are a direct result of inflation. They are not gains at all, but rather the retention of the original purchasing power of your savings before inflation. Inflation is a silent tax on savings that is the result of monetary policy set by unelected bureaucrats. It circumvents the Congressional 'power of the purse' and is, for all intents and purposes, taxation without representation. Asset inflation creates wealth inequality. Those with assets benefit and those without fall further behind. This is wrong, but a capital gains tax is the state's sloppy attempt at correcting this. As taxes go, it might be the most immoral of them. Inflation may be taxation without representation and is certainly immoral, but a capital gains tax is policy explicitly punishing citizens for attempting to protect the purchasing power of their savings over time."
