"Our state is undergoing a major housing crunch and the best way to get out of it is to build more affordable homes - in particular starter homes. Home builders and construction professionals have pointed to overly burdensome state and local regulations as a significant reason that projects were either slowed down or stopped altogether. I believe that we need to reform those provisions that unnecessarily contribute to our housing inventory shortage."
