"Having a paid family and medical leave is not a vacation. This is a program that would help so many families be prepared. This would ensure the parents could take the time off from work to be with their sick child. That they could take off to help care for aging family members or loved ones fighting cancer. Life can throw so much at you. This is one way to help alleviate some of the stress. When you're worried about the health someone so dear to you or your own health - do you really need the stress of wondering if you'll lose everything? The House passed this. The Senate did not.
