"I believe that everyone should pay their fair share for the services that we all use or benefit from - too numerous to list here. I believe that one's ability to pay (what determines that fair share) is more accurately measured in most cases by income. Therefore, I cannot say that I am against an income tax. However, NH already has very high taxes and I do NOT support a 'double dipping' situation in which Granite Staters would be taxed heavily on property AND on their income. Rather, I would support an income tax ONLY IF it was part of an overhaul of the entire tax system in NH."

"I support no-excuse absentee voting - meaning that any registered voter can submit a request for an absentee ballot without having to say why they want/need it. I do NOT support universal mail-in voting that would result in ballots being sent to all registered voters as there are issues with ballots being sent to people are previous addresses or people who have passed away since the last election."

Should New Hampshire create a statewide family and medical leave program, paid for with a percentage of employee wages, with no opt-out?
"Paid family medical leave only works if it is mandatory. Everyone pays a small amount so that the benefit is available if/when they need it. No one should face economic ruin if they need a temporary leave from work for a serious medical injury/illness (theirs or a family member's) or the birth/adoption of a child. I see PFML the same as unemployment insurance - this is money that is taken from all of our paychecks so that if/when we become unemployed the benefit is available for us to receive. It only works because of broad-based funding."

"I support universal background checks (for all sales), requiring gun locks, and permits needed to carry in which an individual needs to demonstrate they can use a firearm safely. I do NOT support the ban of any type/class of firearm or type of ammunition. I support the second amendment, but I also believe that firearms ownership and use needs to be regulated."
