Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?

On the 2020 Citizens Count issue survey, DiTommaso indicated he was "against" New Hampshire allocating tax revenues for private and home schooling costs. He wrote, "Taxes are collected for the public good. Public schools must therefore meet very strict criteria for being deserving of their funding, in terms of outcomes, busing, school nurses, and more. Most importantly, that service is free at point of service for all children, and schools have no say in refusing students outright. If any institution wishes to benefit from public funds, they must provide the same public benefit that our taxes were collected with the promise of returning."

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"I don't think we should leave that option off the table, but such taxation should only be considered if doing so would mean that the average NH citizen feels a reduction in their over all tax burden--as right now we rely almost completely on property tax, which hurts land poor towns disproportionately."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?

"Sales taxes are inherently regressive, and hurt those with the least."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire add a tax credit for businesses that contribute to student loan repayment for employees?

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Should New Hampshire add a tax on capital gains?

"The majority of people don't have capital gains, and those that do can far better afford the expense."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Should New Hampshire increase the tax on cigarettes?

"I would need to see more data to determine if this would actually benefit our state. Discouraging smoking tends to have a net benefit, but if this wouldn't serve to actually discourage smokers, but instead hose them with a tax that they potentially can't well afford, then it wouldn't be a responsible use of our power of taxation."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire guarantee the right to access abortion before 24 weeks?

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Do you support the option of mail-in ballots for all voters, not just absentees?

Should New Hampshire raise the minimum wage?

"The cost of living in NH is extremely high, and wages in our state are very low. There is no pressure on wages to increase, and this drives out young people who would prefer to stay and start families. We also lose out on all of the people who leave the state to work everyday to MA, where their income is then taxed anyway."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Should New Hampshire increase the size of solar panel installations that may participate in net energy metering?

"There is bipartisan support for a net metering expansion, and doing so will help move NH closer to a green electricity infrastructure. Also, producing electricity closer to the place where it will be used saves the huge amount of power lost in transmission over long power lines. This means that there is a compounded benefit to decreasing the amount of energy produced at powerplants this way."

"Undecided"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Should New Hampshire create a statewide family and medical leave program, paid for with a percentage of employee wages, with no opt-out?

Should New Hampshire allocate tax revenues for private and home schooling costs?
