Should NH add an income tax on earned income?
"I would support an income tax on earned income if it were tied to a reduction in property taxes. Now when one loses their job, they must continue to pay property taxes and often lose their home. With an income tax, if there is no income there is no tax."

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?
"I believe NH has a revenue problem. In general I support user taxes, that is those who use a state provided service should pay for it. However many services are provided to all and should be funded under a broad based tax. I am opposed to some of the tax cuts in recent years because they shift the burden from out of state businesses to local property tax payers. I think this ia a very bad idea."

Should NH increase law enforcement policies and penalties for heroin-related offenses?
"I believe the heroin epidemic we are facing is more of a health issue than an criminal issue. We need to establish and fund treatment centers for heroin or opioid addicts. I support criminal penalties for those who are selling heroin or other opioids other than to support their own habit. In those cases, the seller should be sent to a treatment program prior to any criminal proceedings."

Candidate's Website, 2020
"I will support legislation to help local governments take advantage of local renewable energy resources. A 5 megawatt (MW) solar system in Derry would provide all the electrical needs of our town and our schools. Last year the Governor vetoed a bill to raise the net metering cap to 5 MW. He convinced the Public Utility Commission to limit the time period for balancing energy created with energy used from 30 days to only one hour. These actions kept Derry from economically building a 5 MW solar array. They prevented Derry from saving local taxpayers millions of dollars over 25 years. They prevented Derry from helping clean our air by reducing its dependence on fossil fuels. Let’s work together for a clean energy future."Against| Read My Position
