Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?

"'Should the state do more' is open-ended and loaded toward financial incentives. Taxes redistributed come from the people first before they are 'encouraging' municipalities. I could see a change in the eminent domain laws or a grant system for intergovernmental land transfers between cities, towns, and the state (including University or agency lands) to achieve common goals."

Should the state permanently increase how much tax revenue it shares with towns and cities every year, beyond public school funding?

"The idea sounds good until you have a poor economy and state revenue falls. All levels of government need to do with less income on occasion like our families in high inflation periods or recession. A permanent increase would require a tax increase in bad economic times. The state does not print money and is required to have a balanced budget."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Candidate's Website, 2018

"Legislation to make New Hampshire the only Right to Work state in New England has failed to pass in recent years. The time to push this one over the top is now. SCOTUS just ruled that public unions cannot force membership on public employees. A Right to Work law will give the same freedom to private workers. There are many arguments given by the Unions for the status quo but every person seeking work should have a choice on the matter, it's called freedom of association. This trumps all other reasons. Unions to be effective have to provide something for their members and compete in the labor market to evolve for the better. Forced membership yields union bosses focused on political king-making rather that the working conditions, worker training and health of the business they work at. Unions concerned about workers can be a good thing. A free worker can choose to join that union and judge for themselves if the union provides benefit."

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?

"Against"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2020

Should New Hampshire provide student loan debt repayment programs for workers in industries with labor shortages?
"Rather than pay after the fact it might be useful and more economical to limit student loans to students invested in studies of value like sciences, math, engineering, history, and medical professions. Delete loans on majors with no value or if we are in excess supply."
