Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Firmly against.A back door effort to defund the schools primarily benefiting high income households. We need an equitable distribution of education dollars in our state, not a hand out for those that don't need one."

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?
"This subject is fraught but at the end of the day it is a decision between patients and doctors without room for or necessity of state involvement other than ensuring the quality of health care available to all residents."

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?
"There needs to be a fair distribution of the tax burden but as yet I haven't seen evidence that adjusting current spending priorities needs to be accomplished before adding burdens to the taxpayer. See above as well. Fix wages."

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?
"There needs to be a fair distribution of the tax burden, but this isn't the solution. Working and professional class people are struggling with the current tax burden while real wages stagnate and everyday costs escalate. There are other funding streams to tap before going again to the working class."

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?
"I don't think it's economically required to encourage business in NH. Business profits have far outperformed household income and have also seen decades worth of favorable tax initiatives. Time for the middle class to realize some meaningful gains"

Should New Hampshire add a tax on capital gains?
"I will have to see more data before coming to a decision here though I am inclined to tax gains on luxury items and second homes."

Should New Hampshire government do more to address climate change?
"We all see it getting worse every year. Increased precipitation per storm resulting in significant flooding is apparent and investments in infrastructure to mitigate are necessary. Thinking about seacoast erosion, impact on power grid, impact on highway infrastructure, impact on ports. All indication are we need to get ahead of this."

Do you support giving voters who register without ID on Election Day a ballot that only counts if they return identifying documents to the state before a deadline?
"There is not enough evidence of voter fraud to justify the cost of this program and/or offset the negative impacts on the right to have all votes counted. Residency questions can be resolved without an arbitrary deadline set by the state which would increase the administrative burden on local balloting officials."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"While I agree access to affordable housing is a key concern, I would need to be shown how this would directly address the concern of affordable housing. More importantly the State should encourage investment in affordable housing through incentives etc."

Do you support legislation to expand the net energy metering system capacity cap from 1 MW to 5 MW for all residential and commercial customers in New Hampshire?
"Very supportive. I installed my own 12KW system and know personally how small scale power (solar, wind) can provide a more robust and recoverable network. Right now the utilities are also favored by regulation on the price they pay for power to small providers versus the price they charge at the same location. This would be a small step towards making local power stations viable."

Should the state increase funding for child care providers?
"While I agree the state is woefully lacking in affordable child care, funding for 'Child Care providers' is a broad term. If this is about supporting child care businesses directly then no. If its about supporting parents with the means to afford safe, reliable, local child care then yes."

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?
"The current system is wholly inadequate for the needs of the communities. Low property value areas children's education suffer disproportionately to high value property areas. Equal access to quality public education where teachers and staff are valued is imperative to the medium and long term viability of our state."

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?
"Way past due. We are a state surrounded by a sea of legal marijuana. This is an easily accessible additional revenue stream for the state to offset housing and education costs. Further, we are a state that praises individual choice and freedom but in this case the state has a direct conflict of interest as it exercises nearly monopoly control over the state approved intoxicant. It is time our actions in this area aligned with our rhetoric, and our motto."

Should New Hampshire raise the minimum wage?
"Of course. If you can't live on the wage, it's not really a minimum wage. It's a well-below poverty wage. The minimum wage should be tied to inflation so wage earners in a full time position can live with dignity."

Should New Hampshire add legal protections for residents of other states who travel here for health care related to abortion or gender transition?
"Live Free we say. Freedom of choice. Let's stand by those words. We need to stop attempting to legislate adult partnering and procreation choices from theological perspectives."

Should NH require local law enforcement to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement?
"I think that police organizations should work cooperatively together to enforce existing laws and lawful investigations. No individual department should have autonomy to decide which laws to enforce. If there is a problem with the law, address the concern through lawful channels."

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?
"I am a lifelong hunter. I have served in the armed forces. I own and use guns and other lethal hunting gear and have used them all my life. A gun is a tool, not a toy. The daily evidence of tragedy clearly indicates a need to change from the status quo."
