"I grew up as a hunter and often went target or skeet shooting. I enjoyed participating in those hobbies and do not wish to stand in the way of others who choose to do the same. I do believe there needs to be a line drawn, however. I also believe that licensing should be predicated on other factors. It cost me a lot of time and money to have my teenager get a driver's license, and while I am not suggesting as complicated of a licensing process for firearms, I believe there should be background checks and other restrictions in place to keep us all safe, whether private citizens or law enforcement."
