Overview

"Educated in NH public schools, I attended college in South Dakota where I taught at the middle school level for 2 years before returning to NH. Since completing graduate school, I have worked in both public and private psychiatric hospitals. After 25 years as a school counselor and guidance administrator, I retired in 2013. Continuing to support concern for mental health and substance abuse services, I have worked as a field interviewer for a national study on drug use and health. I have also been a test administrator for a national educational assessment program and a volunteer tutor for the Second Start Adult Education Program. My experience has helped me to understand the issues faced by NH families every day, and helped me to develop the communication and problem-solving skills to be an effective legislator."
