Should New Hampshire government do more to address climate change?
"As Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee I've supported expanded use of renewable energy sources, especially hydro and solar. I believe that while New Hampshire's role in climate change is limited compared to larger international polluters, we must do what we can to preserve our state's natural resources and beauty while also working to lower our energy costs and diversifying our sources of energy."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"We need to strike a delicate balance between local control and private property rights. We need to get our state's housing shortage under control, and the best way to do that is by building more homes that working families can afford. This means that we need to cut through the government red tape and unnecessary regulations that are holding up new constructions."

Do you support legislation to expand the net energy metering system capacity cap from 1 MW to 5 MW for all residential and commercial customers in New Hampshire?
"As Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee I've led efforts to expand net metering for commercial, non profit, and municipal hosts and will continue to do so. I believe it is important to diversify our sources of energy and solar and other forms of renewable energy play a critical role. It is important to point out that at the state level we are not able to increase the net metering cap past 5mw as that would fall under federal jurisdiction and beyond our control at the state level."

Should the state increase funding for child care providers?
"The costs of child care have risen greatly over the past few years and with more families already struggling to make ends meet due to inflation and rising costs, it is important that we do what we can to provide relief. I was proud to support increased funding for child care and maternal health in last year's budget and will continue to look for ways to make child care more affordable for working families."

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?
"I have always supported ATCs and supported legislation to allow them to go for-profit to be more competitive so those that would like to use medical marijuana are not paying a higher premium than those purchasing recreational marijuana."
