Should NH add an income tax on earned income?
"Although I believe there are ways the state can meet its education funding obligation without instituting a broad based tax, I believe all options should remain on the table until a solution is reached."

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?
"I believe providing an adequate, equitable education is a constitutional obligation of the state. One that has been neglected and substantively ignored for 40 plus years. Given this unmet obligation the state should not be reducing any tax sources or diverting education dollars to EFA's or other purposes untll this constitutional obligation is met. There are numerous ways the state can fund it's share of education costs, including special education and other differential aid, but it should not include added property taxes. The state has many avenues for raising revenue and they all should be explored."

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?
"The present funding of education creates huge disparities in education from town to town. This is unacceptable. As well, it places an extremely uneven burden on property owners. NH needs to reduce its dependence on property taxes for education, by having the state contribute its true share (without the statewide property tax which simply accentuates the inequities) ."
