"Funding education is the most patriotic thing that we can do as Americans. Everything that this country has done has stemmed from the ingenuity and education of its citizens. There is nothing that we can invest in that has a greater impact on the future existence of our great nation. Nothing.
" Access to quality education should not be limited by where you live or who you have on your schoolboard. Additional sources of revenue may be required to alleviate the burden on property owners.
" This area, though typically the largest line item in our local governments, is still quite underfunded. It is reprehensible that we make teachers provide basic supplies to students. It is unAmerican that we question spending money in this area. It is a disgrace that there are so many people focused only on cutting the budgets from schools.
" Educating our youth is the cornerstone of continuing to build greatness in our country and our State."
