"Approximately 9 out of 10 students are in public school settings in New Hampshire. While there is a place for school choice, I believe government emphasis must be on public schools where most of our children receive their education. I will not support voucher programs that divert funds from public schools; this would only worsen current education inequities."No Response

"This is a critical issue and I will be devoted to working on it. The energy situation is complex and challenging. I have a lot to learn and I will do my homework. It is clear that we need to transition from fossil fuels to sustainable and reduced carbon alternatives for electricity generation, heating, and transportation. This transition should be done in a way that results in a reliable energy for New Hampshire at a reasonable cost. We have a long way to go. 'Fossil fuels are currently the dominant fuel type in New Hampshire for electricity generation, heating and transportation.' (https://www.energy.nh.gov/ener.../nh-10-year-energy-strategy) and according to the state’s 10 year energy plan, this is expected to continue to be the case for decades. We need a better plan that doesn’t take decades. Energy prices are also a concern. NH’s electricity prices are among the highest in the nation and are highly dependent on the price of natural gas. The recent 112 percent increase in kilowatt-hour cost requested by Eversource and approved by the Public Utilities Commission unfortunately illustrates the downside of being so dependent on natural gas.(https://indepthnh.org/.../puc-approves-112-percent.../). There is no short-term fix. The price increase illustrates just how serious the situation is and the urgency for a long-term solution. The Regional System Plan reported by ISO-NE, the non-profit that manages the New England electric grid and energy markets provides a good overview of the New England electricity situation (https://www.iso-ne.com/system.../system-plans-studies/rsp)."
