"Frank Lynch wants to provide year round school with free daycare, teaching useful subjects for every child in America. Schools will be open 238 days a year, the same number of days that mothers work. Most mothers work! Many more would like to work, at least part time. And the majority of children today live in single parent homes.
"Mothers can drop off their children between 7:30 and 8:30 AM for free nutritious breakfast for every child, and pick them up between 5 PM and 6:30 PM, with no extra costs, and with no worry about where their children are and what they are doing. Nutritious snacks and lunches are free for all. Teachers eat at assigned student tables. Required classes end at 5 PM, but optional enrichment classes, music, arts, exercise and sports continue until 6:30 PM. Schools are single gender, with free uniforms and no "secret message" jewelry. What a revolution. What freedom. What equality. What a wonderful nation we can have, if you join me.
"All children will learn American History and English, and all tests are in English. Truant officers make sure nobody drops out. Tests on the internet are graded by central computer so there is no "social" advancement cheating that graduates children who cannot read.
"Nationwide tests are given every week in every subject, so the results are used as a teaching method, and difficulties are identified each week, instead of years later when remedial teaching is too late, as happens with current NCLB tests years apart, when it is too late to help a child."
