Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Despite GOP claims to the contrary, 'Education Freedom Accounts' (or 'EFAs') are really nothing more than a fancy name for vouchers. Public funds should remain solely for public schools. I oppose privatization."

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?
"Income taxes are the best sort of taxation due to being based on people's ability to pay. I support a graduated, progressively-structured income tax to better fund our state government."

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?
"Sales taxes are generally regressive. I'd be open to a narrow, focused sales tax if someone could figure out how to structure one in a progressive fashion (e.g. a Veblen Goods tax), but am not aware of any such proposals that are currently active."

"The Business Enterprise Tax (BET) I don't really feel strongly about, but the Business Profits Tax (BPT) needs to be greatly increased."

Do you support giving voters who register without ID on Election Day a ballot that only counts if they return identifying documents to the state before a deadline?
"NH's system of same-day registration has allowed voters to vote with an affidavit in the past, and this system has worked well for us."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"To be honest, the word 'encourage' is kind of weak. We've been attempting 'encouragement' for awhile now and many municipalities haven't been playing along. The time has come to move from encouraging municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development, to actively compelling them to do so."

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?
"I personally would prefer an income tax to pay for school funding, but given the choice between maintaining our current system of funding education, and not funding it at all (which seems to be the GOP/FSP goal), I would choose to maintain our current system."

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?
"As a socialist, I believe that all enterprises should be state-run, and marijuana is no exception. However, I don't want my preferred pathway to legalization to get in its way, and would support any plan for legalization that has a chance of being signed into law, and would be an improvement over the status quo."

Should New Hampshire add legal protections for residents of other states who travel here for health care related to abortion or gender transition?
"I live next to Concord's Equality Health Center and am tired of seeing the sidewalk in front of it being treated as a conflict zone. People should be able to enter it and make use of its services without having to fear harassment or arrest."

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?
"Guns give disproportionate power to gun owners. In a democracy, society should be organized so that everyone has an equal say in guiding its course, rather than just the people who can afford the most guns."
