Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?
"While we all want lower taxes, including our businesses, we cannot afford another business tax decrease at this time without doing significant damage to the ability of the state to provide public services, especially in the wake of the GOP's reckless repeal of the Interest & Dividends tax, which will leave a gaping hole in the state budget next year."

Do you support giving voters who register without ID on Election Day a ballot that only counts if they return identifying documents to the state before a deadline?
"I support the use of affidavit ballots. I oppose the stringent requirements of legislation that passed this year that includes providing proof of citizenship via a passport or original birth certificate, recognizing these are documents many voters do not possess and could disenfranchise many legal voters."

Should the state increase funding for child care providers?
"I served on the House Special Committee on Childcare during the last biennium where I had the privilege to work closely with providers around the state seeking solutions on this issue. The changes we made to increase funding to providers as part of HB2 and our bill to expand eligibility for the childcare scholarship program were a good start--but nowhere near enough. We need a strong, concerted effort to solve our childcare crisis in the next biennium. It is not only a child well-being issue it is also an economic imperative during this time of workforce shortages, recognizing that there are more folks who have the left the workforce due to lack of availability of care than there are folks unemployed."

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?
"Our current school funding formula is deeply inequitable and is creating a downward spiral in property-poor towns, especially here in the North Country. We absolutely need more equitable school funding solutions at the state level so that your school quality is not a result of your zip code."
