Limit charging defendants for pre-trial monitoring
Summary:
Prohibits criminal defendants on pre-trial release from being required to pay for pre-trial services or monitoring, including electronic monitoring. The Senate amended the bill so that it only applies to indigent defendants (low income, unable to pay) who are not found guilty.
