Permit nonprofits to conduct charity auctions

Summary:

Allows nonprofit organizations to hire an individual to run a charity auction, without a license for that organization. The auctioneer cannot receive a commission from sales or a percentage of the revenues as compensation.

A conference committee of representatives and senators amended the bill to clarify that political advocacy organizations are excluded from this legislation.
