SB 510 (2024)

Eliminate requirement for car dealer to notify state of sale to Massachusetts resident, reduce vehicle inspection requirements

Summary:

Eliminates the requirement that a retail motor vehicle dealer submit a form notifying the New Hampshire department of motor vehicles of a sale of a vehicle to a Massachusetts resident. The Senate added that text to HB 1243.

The House added the text of HB 1391 and HB 1637 to this bill. HB 1391 allows new vehicles purchased in the model year or before to be inspected in the second year after purchase. HB 1637 reduces requirements for vehicle inspection.

The Senate rejected these changes.
