Establish near-equal reimbursement rates for prosthetic and orthotic devices under Medicare and Medicaid
Summary:
Directs the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to establish a reimbursement rate for prosthetic and orthotic devices under Medicaid that is equal to the rate under Medicare. The Senate amended the bill to instead direct DHHS to establish a reimbursement rate that is equal to 90% of the rate under Medicare.
This bill then directs a legislative oversight committee to study the issue.
