Maintain health insurance for emergency response/public safety workers during appeal of some denied workers' compensation claims
Summary:
Requires that emergency response/public safety workers denied workers' compensation claims related to any claim of injury to which a prima facie presumption applies shall maintain their health insurance benefit until a final determination is made. A "prima facie presumption" generally means there is a legal assumption that the injury is related to the person's work.
