SB 330 (2024)

Make some who only work from home available for unemployment

Summary:

Repeals the disqualification for unemployment benefits for those not available for work outside a home. As the law currently stands, an individual on unemployment who only applies for work-from-home/remote jobs could be denied their weekly benefits. Under this bill, the state would set rules for individuals who have a reasonable expectation of substantial employment opportunities working from home so that they can receive unemployment benefits while also only applying to remote jobs.
