Require schools to restrict student cell phone use during class

Summary:

Requires school districts to adopt policies that restrict the use of student personal cell phones during class instruction without educator approval. The bill then sends $250,000 to the Department of Education to reimburse districts for implementation of cell phone use policies.

The House voted to remove funding from the bill.
