Extend payments for home school students attending public school classes
Summary:
Revises the definitions of average daily membership in attendance (ADMA) and average daily membership in residence (ADMR) for state school funding for the purpose of home educated pupils. According to the House Education committee, "Currently, a home school pupil may attend high school courses offered in grades 9-12, and for each instructional course the student is in attendance at the high school or public academy, the home school pupil shall count as an additional 0.15 grant payment from the department. This bill as amended extends this program to include academic courses in grades 7-12."
