Restrict civil asset forfeiture
Summary:
Modifies the state laws around forfeiture of items used in connection with drug offenses. For example, this bill exempts vehicles worth less than $5,000 from forfeiture. The bill also establishes a right to a post-seizure hearing and sets out related procedures.
