Make state legislators eligible for federal student loan forgiveness, give legislators employment protections
Summary:
Provides that serving as a member of State Legislature shall be considered public service for purposes of federal student loan forgiveness programs. The bill also blocks an employer from firing an employee who is a state legislator, so long as the employee gives at least 2 days' notice of taking time off for legislative work.
