Summary:
If a moderator uses a ballot counting device's printed or digitally displayed images to count write-in votes, rather than examining each ballot individually, this bill requires a second witness who is registered with an opposing party.
The House amended the bill to require the second witness to be another sworn-in election official rather than a member of the opposing party.
