Allow a driver to request additional time to pay a ticket
Summary:
Allows drivers who plead guilty or nolo contendere to a driving violation, in lieu of appearing in court, to request an extension of the payment period from 30 days to 90 days (unless they have other unpaid fines or offenses). A driver could request a second extension, for an additional 90 days, after providing proof they cannot pay.
