Send surplus education property tax in wealthy towns to state for redistribution
Summary:
Requires that all of the proceeds from the statewide education property tax be spent on the state-defined cost of an adequate education, with any surplus going back to the state for redistribution. This bill also prohibits the Department of Revenue Administration from setting negative local or county tax rates.
