Require witness fee reimbursement for parent int he armed forces who prevails at special education hearing
Summary:
Requires the Department of Education to reimburse witness fees for military families who prevail in special education hearings.
As introduced, this bill also required school districts to complete a new individualized education plan (IEP) evaluation within 30 days of notification of a student's transfer if the student is in a military family. The House voted to remove this part of the bill.
