Allow municipalities to tax standing wood or timber in carbon sequestration programs
Summary:
Enables municipalities to collect tax on standing wood or timber on land that has been enrolled in the carbon sequestration registry. The bill allows the assessment of the 10% yield tax on the metric tonnage of carbon sequestered from the timber enrolled in forest carbon programs.
