Establish repository of maps showing radio systems
Summary:
Grants first responder organizations of a town, city, county, or the state access to uppermost locations on any new or existing antenna mounts or towers.
The House rewrote the bill to instead direct the Division of Emergency Services and Communications to investigate how to close gaps in radio and broadband communications coverage, with a focus on the needs of first responders.
The Senate amended the bill to instead direct the Department of Safety to establish a repository of maps showing radio systems.
