Add exception for sprinkler requirements
Summary:
Adds an exception to the state fire code to make fire sprinkler systems optional in existing, detached residential buildings with up to four dwelling units as long as that building is otherwise in compliance with the state fire code.
The Senate amended the bill to also ban municipalities from adopting residential sprinkler requirements stricter than the state fire code.
