HB 1030 (2024)

End various task forces and commissions, study appeals process for environmental councils

Summary:

Terminates any legislative study commission that has not met or reported for five years. The House amended the bill to instead repeal certain task forces, study committees, and study commissions, and also repeal the John G. Winant memorial commission. The bill then makes maintenance of the memorial a duty of the joint legislative historical committee. Lastly, the amended bill establishes a committee to study the appeals process administered by environmental councils.
